The star of the "Hello, and Goodbye" photograph is Cecily. She’s been with us for a week and is the center of everything. My husband calls from Europe to check on her progress. My family overseas have met her on videocam. All my neighbors and friends have come to meet her bearing gifts. My daughter and I dote on her. We think she is beautiful, but - true to her name - she is blind to her own beauty. Angelic one minute and a wild thing the next, she is all dog - nothing delights her more than running in the rain, digging in the dirt and rolling in the grass.
